Certificates of analysis

A certificate of analysis is the issuing laboratory's report on a sample drawn from a single lot, on a single date, against the parameters that laboratory tested. It describes that sample and nothing else. It is not a guarantee of the properties of any other lot, it does not establish that a material is suitable for any particular research application, and it is not a representation that a material is safe for any use outside a laboratory.

Match the batch number on the certificate to the batch number printed on the container in front of you. If the two do not match, the certificate does not describe what you are holding. Purchasers remain responsible for confirming identity, purity, and fitness for their own protocols.

• Batch # — the lot identifier as printed on the container label.
• Tested — the date the issuing laboratory completed its analysis, not the date of manufacture or the date of publication.
• Label claim — the quantity stated on the label for that lot.
• Samples assayed — how many individual units were drawn from the lot and tested.
• Avg. net content — the measured mean across those units. It will not match the label claim exactly; overfill is normal, and the figure is reported as measured rather than rounded to the claim.
• Purity — chromatographic purity of the tested sample, as reported by the laboratory.
• Endotoxins, heavy metals, sterility — pass or fail against the acceptance criteria stated on the certificate. A dash means that assay was not performed for that lot, and must not be read as a pass.

A lot marked superseded has been replaced in the catalog by a newer one. It is kept on this page on purpose: anyone still holding a container from an earlier lot needs its record, and removing it would make that record unavailable at exactly the moment it matters. Superseded indicates only that a newer lot exists — it is not a withdrawal, and it does not indicate a problem with the earlier lot.

Analytical testing is performed by laboratories independent of Pioneer Labs USA LLC, and the issuing laboratory is named on each certificate. Figures shown in the tables on this page are transcribed from those certificates for browsing; where a figure here differs from the certificate, the certificate governs.

Availability of documentation varies by material and by lot. Where no certificate is published for a lot, none should be assumed. Catalog items with no certificate yet published are listed at the foot of this page rather than omitted from it.
